Abstract

Introduction: In virgin women, who have not had any carnal copulation, there exists in the vulvovaginal union line a kind of incomplete membrane that extends towards the center of the orifice narrowing its lumen, these can be typical or atypical. Methodology: A revision and analysis of the bibliography on the different types of hymens was carried out, which allowed us to identify a rare, atypical hymen and have it as point of reference in similar cases that could occur in the future. Conclusions: The hymen with double atypicality, septate, with a dilated orifice, is little described in the consulted bibliography. During the recognition of a sexual offerses, the acting legal experts must bear in mind the existence of hymens like this one. In these cases of sexual offense, in which the victim has a hymen with these characteristic, the classification of the crime will depend on the police investigation.
