Diagnostic of the coherence between the supply and the demand for leisure in the Havana destination

The work presented was carried out with the purpose of making a diagnostic of the correspondence (coherence) existing between the supply and the tourist demand of leisure in the Havana destination. This research was structured in 7 stages, which allowed a comparison between the leisure offer and the tastes and preferences of the visitors of the destination, through the analysis of documents, interviews with specialists, as well as the tourists who visited the destination. The information saturation criterion was used to determine the size of the sample investigated. Participatory observations were made of leisure products to contribute to the characterization and evaluation of the offer. The results showed that the offer of leisure in Havana is insufficient, little diverse, presents imbalance between things to see and things to do, and imbalance between daytime and night activity. It was evident that there are gaps between supply and demand, mainly due to the insufficiency of active leisure products, daytime leisure, and products that give visitors the possibility to interact with the premises, as well as carrying out the typical activities of the destination. It was concluded that Havana has great potential for the development of leisure products. A proposal of actions and products that could be implemented was presented to respond to the gaps found.

This research was carried out from a detailed study of the Paradiso Agency as a Cultural Industry promoter of the Cuban cultural tourist product. It was found that this agency, due to the epidemiological situation at international and national level and to internal management problems, does not have an optimal commercialization. Migration on the academic performance of the students of the Unidad Educative Santa Rosa

Introduction: Since ancient times, humanity has been on the move and the phenomenon of migration has occurred. Objective: This research aims to determine the level of incidence of migration on the academic performance of students in the basic areas of Language and literature, mathematics, natural sciences and social studies in the Unidad Educative "Santa Rosa". Methodology: mixed research was carried out, in which 339 elementary basic education students and 10 teachers participated. As data collection instruments, the survey for second, third and fourth grade students and the interview for teachers were used. Both the survey and the interview were conditional, that is, the next question depended on the answer to the previous one. In this way, it was possible to document the exact number of students who come from migrant homes. And the level of awareness on this issue that teachers have. The data obtained were consolidated and homogenized for analysis. Results: the results obtained indicate a large number of students with ancestry from migrant families from the countryside to the city, who do not have the support of their families in school tasks. In addition, they have academic performance problems in all subjects. However, this problem is not reflected in documents since teachers carry out pedagogical recovery and send extra work with which the children improve their grade. Conclusion: after this process, it is concluded that, at Unidad Educative Santa Rosa, there is a majority problem in relation to migrant students from the countryside to the city, which leads to academic problems which have to be solved inside the classrooms through academic reinforcement, without the input of parents.
